Privacy policy for the LaterTube Chrome extension

LaterTube is a Chrome extension that lets users create and organize a personal list of YouTube videos. This policy explains what information the extension handles and how it is used.
When the user saves a video, LaterTube may read and store the following information from the YouTube page:
LaterTube may also inspect the URLs and titles of currently open browser tabs when the user explicitly selects the command to collect open YouTube video tabs. Tabs that are not recognized as YouTube video pages are ignored.
All LaterTube list data and preferences are stored locally in the user’s Chrome profile using chrome.storage.local. The data is used only to provide the extension’s user-facing features: saving, displaying, searching, sorting, importing, exporting and removing videos.
LaterTube does not operate a remote server. The developer does not receive or have access to the user’s saved list, browsing activity or imported backup files.
LaterTube does not sell, rent or share user data with the developer, advertisers, data brokers or other third parties.
The extension runs on YouTube pages and displays YouTube thumbnail images. The user’s browser may therefore make ordinary HTTPS requests to YouTube and YouTube’s image servers. Those requests are governed by Google’s privacy policy. LaterTube does not add tracking identifiers and does not send the user’s saved list to YouTube.
Backup files selected for import are processed locally in the browser. Exported backup files are created locally and downloaded directly by the browser. Their contents are not uploaded to the developer or to any third party by LaterTube.
LaterTube contains an optional “Say thanks” section showing static USDT wallet addresses and QR codes. Support is voluntary, does not unlock features and is not tracked by the extension. LaterTube does not connect to wallets and does not collect payment or transaction information.
Data remains in the user’s Chrome profile until the user removes individual videos, clears the list, clears the extension’s data or uninstalls the extension. Users can export their list before deletion.
storage stores the video list and extension preferences locally.contextMenus provides the command for collecting open YouTube video tabs.youtube.com and youtu.be is used to add LaterTube controls and read public metadata for videos selected by the user.LaterTube’s use of information received from Chrome and Google services complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data is used only to provide or improve LaterTube’s single purpose and is not used for advertising, creditworthiness, lending or unrelated purposes.
If LaterTube’s data practices change, this policy and the Chrome Web Store disclosures will be updated before the changed practices are introduced.

Когда пользователь явно запускает команду сбора открытых вкладок YouTube, LaterTube также проверяет адреса и заголовки открытых вкладок. Вкладки, не являющиеся страницами видео YouTube, игнорируются.
Список и настройки LaterTube хранятся локально в профиле Chrome пользователя через chrome.storage.local. Данные используются только для функций расширения: сохранения, отображения, поиска, сортировки, импорта, экспорта и удаления видео.
У LaterTube нет удалённого сервера. Разработчик не получает доступа к сохранённому списку, истории просмотра или импортированным резервным копиям.
LaterTube не продаёт и не передаёт данные пользователя разработчику, рекламным системам, брокерам данных или другим третьим лицам.
Расширение работает на страницах YouTube и показывает превью YouTube. Поэтому браузер может выполнять обычные HTTPS-запросы к YouTube и серверам изображений YouTube. Эти запросы регулируются политикой конфиденциальности Google. LaterTube не добавляет идентификаторы отслеживания и не отправляет сохранённый список на YouTube.
Выбранные пользователем файлы обрабатываются локально в браузере. Резервные копии также создаются и скачиваются локально. LaterTube не загружает их разработчику или третьим лицам.
В LaterTube есть необязательный раздел «Сказать спасибо» со статическими адресами USDT и QR-кодами. Поддержка добровольная, не открывает дополнительные функции и не отслеживается расширением. LaterTube не подключается к кошелькам и не собирает сведения о платежах или транзакциях.
Данные остаются в профиле Chrome, пока пользователь не удалит отдельные видео, не очистит список или данные расширения либо не удалит расширение. Перед удалением список можно экспортировать.
storage хранит список видео и настройки локально.contextMenus добавляет команду сбора открытых вкладок YouTube.youtube.com и youtu.be используется для элементов LaterTube и чтения публичных метаданных выбранных пользователем видео.Использование информации, полученной от Chrome и сервисов Google, соответствует Chrome Web Store User Data Policy и требованиям Limited Use. Данные используются исключительно для основной функции LaterTube и не применяются для рекламы, оценки кредитоспособности, кредитования или посторонних целей.
Если правила обработки данных LaterTube изменятся, эта политика и сведения в Chrome Web Store будут обновлены до введения новых правил.
